Adjunct Faculty Opportunities – Graduate Philosophy
Holy Apostles College and Seminary is accepting applications to fill current and anticipated openings for adjunct faculty online. The most immediate need is for faculty to teach a graduate course on Natural Law. Candidates for graduate adjunct faculty must hold a doctoral degree (civil or pontifical) in Philosophy or Theology. Degrees must be from institutions holding regional accreditation. Previous college-level teaching experience, especially online, is highly desired.
Holy Apostles is committed to hiring individuals who can advance its mission to form and educate students – laity, seminarians, clergy, and religious – as missionary disciples, servant leaders, and “co-workers in the vineyard.” An authentic Catholic identity is at the heart of the college’s mission. This Catholic identity is expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (1992) and Pope Saint John Paul II’s Ex Corde Ecclesiae. Faculty candidates must consider whether their professional goals, practices, and values align with these documents.
Due to Holy Apostles’ status as a Catholic seminary, Canon Law requires that candidates in pastoral studies, philosophy, and theology must be practicing Catholics willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and make the Profession of Faith.
To apply, please submit the following to Dr. Kristina Olsen, Vice President of Academic Affairs, at [email protected]
1. A current CV that includes a full education and employment history.
2. A cover letter outlining previous teaching experience, desired teaching areas, and desired program (online, on-campus, or both).
3. A statement explaining your educational philosophy and how it fits with authentic Catholic identity and Holy Apostles’ mission to form and educate students—laity, seminarians, clergy, and religious—as missionary disciples, servant leaders, and “co-workers in the vineyard.”
No phone calls, please.
